What is the purpose of the CPC Module?
Another control module that resembles the ECU (engine control unit) is the powertrain control unit, or CPC (computer powertrain control). It regulates a number of systems in recent Mercedes cars, including the speed limiter, throttle pedal, and active exhaust valves. Additionally, it houses a number of torque limiters that were previously only found in the ECU.
The advantages of upgrading your CPC?
The torque limiters in the CPC limit the ECU's ability to operate the engine, even though it does not directly control the engine. The original CPC module is completely replaced by the Z Calibration CPC. Its torque limiters are set to settings that essentially "remove" the constraints, enabling the ECU to function with less limitations on power production. Higher max speeds are possible because the speed limiter is also abolished. It can also be configured to keep the active exhaust valves in the open position at all times upon request. Any recent Mercedes vehicle that has been adjusted can benefit greatly from the Z Calibration CPC, which also offers higher top speeds and better, more consistent performance.
